Tiger

1. Introduction

I took the Parrots-mosaic apart to be able to build a new big mosaic. This one turned out slightly smaller than the previous one (only 5 panels instead of 6), but the wooden structure that holds the entire mosaic is the same as the one used for my Parrots-mosaic.
This mosaic was built with only 8 colours: Black, White, Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Green and Lime. As opposed to the Parrots-mosaic, I built this one from bottom to top to avoid slight gaps between two panels (less comfortable because I was now building sideways...).

Stacking
  • Left: Stacking 177 bricks unfortunately didn't always result in two walls of exactly the same height...
Apparently the two building methods (sideways and from bottom to top) both have their disadvantages...

  • Right: I also started using engraved bricks to sign my mosaics.

  • Below: The completed mosaic measures 2,04 meters wide and 1,74 meters high (252 x 177 non-square pixels).
